Pointing needed?

Hi, need some advice and sorry this is the best picture I could do, from an experienced eye or observation would you say the pointing would need doing?

I’m purchasing this property and I’ve been advised by my dad (was sort of a builder) that it does. But would this need doing straight away.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Looks ok imo. Are there any signs of damp on that wall?

Personaly I would agree with your dad but I don't think there is any urgency. The top looks worse to me but it's hard to tell from the angle of your pic..

No obvious signs on the side of the walls inside adjoining that side of the house, however, there is this in the lower ground

Pointing the other side of that may need investigating then
