My wife and I are considering the above and would appreciate a bit of feedback as we're recently converted amateur gardeners.
We have seen a Gardman 8' x 6' polycarbonate greenhouse at our local Wyevale Group garden centre, and it seems pretty sturdy, and relatively easy to assemble. Our concern is that we live in a very exposed area that is often windy. Siting it in the back garden would afford fairly good protection on two sides, but will the polycarbonate stand a good blasting wind we wonder. Anyone got one, had one? How do you rate them please?
Also, the poly tunnel idea is a self assembly one too (also made by Gardman), and at the same garden centre. I realise this will be more likely to blow away like a UFO over the hills if its aluminum frame is not well anchored, but it does open at both ends which we thought was jolly handy in reducing the possibility of unintended flight. Again, has anyone got one, had one and what do you think of them, please?
