Hi
Looking into the tops of the cavities in my bungalow i can see polystyrene boards have been used in all the cavities, except for the two front bays which are uninsulated.
The boards were put in in 1994 when the bungalow was rebuilt.
Are these polystyrene boards OK for insulation, and do you think it would benefit from further insulation eg beads? I have been considering beads at the front bays as they are uninsulated.
I have also been putting insulation wool at the tops of the cavities to try and tie the tops of the insulation boards into the insulation in the floor of the eaves.
Any advice appreciated - trying to improve house efficiency before winter.
Thanks.
