Poor garden tap pressure

Its tank fed because the convenient location for the tap was outside the bathroom, our bathroom is on the ground floor. The kitchen is next door and to have it plumbed from there would involve chasing out the floor or wall behind the cooker to get the pipe through.

Pressure is fine now...just wondering whether I still need a check valve seeing as its not drinking water.

Why is it tank fed
