Any advice please ? We have just had double glazing fitted, but the fitter removed the old front door, inserted the new one but put the plastic architrive round WITHOUT sealing behind it, (They had told my husband that it would be filled ) you could actually see daylight before the white upvc sealant went on !! Hence the noise is as bad as it was with the old door. He also cut the architrive around the dado rail without asking, we would rather have removed or trimmed it .Can we get them back? Thanks.

Hi,

Under the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, you as a consumer of goods and services are provided with certain rights. If your installation is not completed to a reasonable standard using the care and skill of an experienced company then the Act should be able to help you. If you do encounter problems and your double glazers have not fixed them after your request to do so, you would be entitled to bill the firm the reasonable cost of having the work done elsewhere.

- Direct quote from C.S.A 1982.

Basically you have 7 days to let them know your not happy with the work done.
