12 years...and no mention of a service, and whilst I would give advise on this troublesome boiler, if it has been neglected then it will play up!

Poor boiler in my opinion and only one of a few that I would advise replacing.

Put all your savings you have made on neglect and put a decent boiler in.

And use an engineer and not a 'plumber' to install it.

agree on these points also, if neglected over 12 years (which hasnt been confirmed ?) then the repairs could snowball and could cost a fortune, im sure the pcb is around £175 for these alone which would be the next problem i'd look at if it wasnt sensing the flame and the electrode and connection was ok.....

parts are still available for every part of these boilers but it could end up costly if poorly maintained through the years...
