Porch roof help

Hi,

I've discovered that I have a leak coming through my porch. On further inspection I have found that the felt appears to be torn and is breaking up. I've attached a few pics.

Is the best solution to rip the felt off and renew or is there another way? Like a way of patching up or filling? Money is a bit tight at the moment, so I'm looking for an easy and cheap way to fix but if refelting is the best way then that's fine.

Plenty of repair compounds on the market, Acrypol, compramol etc but a bit pricey..and for the size of the porch you need to weigh up the cost of patching to renewing.

I wouldnt bother with band aids, refelt it.

Thank you for your replies. After a think I've got someone coming out to have a look at it. I don't think it's ready for my diy skills, probably make more of a leak.
