Portable 230v supply

Im (was?) thinking of getting a small generator to use at home to keep essential things going when the extra load of all these EVs pushes our generating capacity over the edge. So it might run for a couple of hours, but not that often :?:

One of these might be an alternative, but the cost and concerns about lomg-term capacity mean probably not.
