Has anyone got a good solution for venting a portable AC machine through a top opening casement window (similar window style attached)? I don't like the velcro on material and the sliding things that come with are for sash type Windows. Something temporary would be better for the two weeks of summer we normally have!

I've had the same thoughts.
You can get acrylic sheets cut to size, with pre-drilled holes very reasonably...

It should be possible to simply clip it, or wedge it into the opening.

Alternatively, as I have done, you may be able to find another outlet.
I stick the vent pipe up an old fireplace (the chimney is vented).

Under the floor? I once helped a mate do a rewire on an house and the previous owner had vented their tumble drier under the floor. I think they may also had taken the filter out and there were years of fluff all under the floor and around the brick piers.

That looks just the ticket! Thanks.

Unfortunately no underfloor access or chimney breast nearby...

You could use it to hook over the window opening without scratching or marking the window frame as a metal bracket might. I'm presuming you hang the duct out of the window opening.
