Hello

I need to install a shower pump.

Luckily, my shower backs right onto my airing/cystern cupboard and the shower pipework is easily accessible in there.

For ease of fitting and and positioning the best place for me will be to build a shelf just above the cystern and place the pump on there.

Any advice/info if that is OK?

TIA ... Mick

If you want the best position for reliable operation and long pump life, then place the pump near the base of the cylinder.

This will be the position recommended by the pump manufacturer. You should also follow the recommendations for the method of connection to hot and cold supplies. If you don't do it their way, don't be surprised at what happens (or doesn't happen).
