I had to look up what thunderbolts were as I've never heard of them. They're self tapping concrete screws which is what I've used to fix the metposts to the concrete base. I used them because I had a boxful of them already. I wasn't sure if they would be ok in a frogged brick though.
Are resin fixings as strong as other types of fixings? I've never used them before.
