My central heating cuts in for about 20 seconds and then cuts off. The flow gets hot but the return stays cold. The boiler pressure is where it should be at 1.5 bar and all the radiators have been bled. We phoned the gas board and they have told us that the boiler needs a power flush at a cost of £800. Is there anything we can do without spending all this money?
