Nope that is not the correct wax stat , the one you need as far as I know is not sold seperate anymore you need to buy the complete valve and split it but I seem to remember someone saying on here that some spares place still sold it seperate but that posting you have is the wrong one that is for DHW flow rate not the one you need

i work on valves for a living but they are medical oxygen with 300 bar behind them not CH with hot water. working on valves is not an issue just dont want to get covered in hot water, just unsure of what is behind what opening and what happens if i open a port

Had the time today to change the wax valve
I followed the system for draining the boiler down
spilt the diverter removed the end plug pushed out the wax valve swapped orings and washers
replaced the fibre washers for the for the two pipes feeding water into the burner
I now have a small leak think it is coming from the join in the valve
only the odd drop will change orings when i can get some
all rads now hot waiting for it to go off so i know it has worked
