I Have a Potterton 60L boiler. I HAS had a new PCB a few years ago.

Last night we had no hot water and not heating. I checked and there was just a flashing amber light. Slow when the boiler stat is set to 'on' and faster when the stat is set to 'off'.

I tried re-setting it with absolutely no difference what so ever.

About an hour after, I noticed that the boiler had lit and that the rads in the house were hot. Also, we had hot water this morning.

Is this a fault looming? What do I need to check?

Any help / advice much appreciated.

I will have to guess that its a Suprima?

If so then its likely to be an impending PCB fault.

But because they were so unreliable Potty designed a new replacement!

Its more expensive than the old one of course.

The slightly good news is that the boilers rarely fail completely but just get slower to light and need resetting often.

yes it is a Suprima. Im going to arrange for a service to be done. I will mention it to the engineer.
