Potterton Boiler: Need CH on with HW to get..........HW!!

Hi, Hope that someone can help. Like many I was a victim of the Potterton boiler PCB problems, which was replaced by Baxi some 12 months ago.

However I still need to have the central heating on at the same time as the hot water to get hot water. Otherwise the boiler locks out.

The boiler is a Potterton Suprima 30 and the central heating is an unvented system.

Just wondering if anyone can give some pointers as to what maybe the cause.

Sounds like overheating due to insufficient flow.
Look for an air vent/bleed point on the pipes by the hot water cylinder - I'll look for a pic...

What speed is the pump on - try turning it up.
A 30 should be OK on speed 1 but it'll help with diagnosis

Have you got a 'Gledhill' (boilermate) cylinder?
