help.

i have lost the pressure... i have managed to get it up enough to run the hot water and the heating, but i have to leave it on 24 hours. as soon as i turn it off, the pressure drops again.

any hints?

cheers!

It would seem that you have a leak!

The pressure relief valve vent which may go outside behind the boiler is a likely cause.

If the vent is leaking then the PRV will need replacing. Its also an indicator that the system is dirty and ideally this should be addressed!

If the pressure increases by more than 0,4 Bar between a cold system and hot then the expansion vessel needs recharging or replacing.

You need to see which model you have as Potterton have been making boilers for a long time. Its probably a Puma!

Thanks for your reply!

could it be because we bled the radiators?

we dont have a silver flexible pipe running out of the boiler. does that mean that we need a technician, or can we sort out the pressure ourselves?
