Can anyone help?

Both timers are set to come on and go off once in the morning and once in the evening. The morning's no problem. However, the central heating in the evening decides to stop working about 45 minutes after it's started.

The light for the timer is on so the heating should be working. The thermostat isn't so low it's switching off for this reason. Furthermore why would it work in the morning but not the evening?

To resolve the issue in the evening, after the CH stops I move the setting back to off, and then to timed again, and the CH starts working. I can't fathom it.

Can anybody suggest what the problem is and how I might resolve it?

Appreciate your input.
