hi hopefully i get the question right

recently got back from hol's turned the heating and hot water but the heating stays on continu-sly even when the timer is off , if i switch the heating off and the water it still heats up the radi , i have to switch the boiler off manually to stop the house getting warm.

looks like the controller plays no part , however if i dont turn the hot water on the switch i dont get water ,

i'm hoping its a general potteron change out ? , hopefully not too ££

any thoughts ?

thank you

the system is for cental heating and general hot water tank use , so i gotta run it all together it seems as the controller whever off or on makes no difference

i'm hoping this proves my theory that the potterton switch is buggered ?

I also have had the problem. The suppluier has told me to write to Pottertons as I have exchanges 3 controllers now in less than 12 months. He believes it is a backplate possible problem with the units.
I'm currently searching the web for Pottertons contact details.

Hi all.
I have had 3 new controllers in the past 12 months and all after about 3 months appear to go wrong. They will not switch off and leave the heating on full. Signals from the thermostat are ignores and the switches on the controllers fail to work to switch off. The only solution was to remove the controller front panel, (i.e. disconnect the unit).
The supplier has suggested I contact Pottertons which I am about to do.
