My Potterton Lynx2 combi boiler trips into fault when you call for hot water or central heating. The lights come on for 1. Water Heating 2. Demand 3. Ignition, but then trips out before the 'Fame light comes on.
There is definitely sparking/ignition in the combustion chamber, but no gas is coming through to ignite.
How can I check if the gas valve is working?
What other checks would you recommend?

the obvious first thing to do is check whether you have 240v across the gas valve (not the modulating one)

If the question ever comes up in a pub quiz, I'll remember that,

IIRC, the spark ignites GV1 and 2 (wired in parallel)

Hey, did someone remove agile's reply?

and my reply to it ?

MOD 2
