I have the potterton boiler which has been working fine. I have the CH and HW programmer/timer swich. (I am not a plumber )
At the moment, the HW is not hot enough - I am suspecting that the HW does not activate all the time.
Today, I pushed the 'extend+1 hr' button for the Hot water, and the boiler did not light up. However if I turn the thermostat higher (approx level 2.5) , then did light up
The central heating works fine.
Do I need to keep thermostat higher? The kids may have messed with it - i cant remember the original setting where it worked fine - but it was around level 2.
Other thing i was thinking of was to replace the progrmmer/timer switch
