Potterton Performa 28 boiler

Hi All

Any help much appreciated

Have a Potterton Performa 28 boiler

The issue is that we don't get any hot water through the tap.

The Central heating works with green rad LED, with the amber flame LED. When hits temperature amber LED goes off.

When turning on the hot water the rad LED will go off and so does the amber flame LED.
With the hot water tap on and running the green tap LED comes on but the amber flame LED stays off and doesn't reignite.

Tried resetting still the same
Replaced Diaphragm still the same

Any thoughts?????

Can you see if the demand switch is being operated when the water is turned on? Should be near the diaphragm you replaced.

Yes that looks all good

The rod engages switch

maybe try short the switch out with the water running for a few seconds to see if it fires up or better still use a multimeter on it to make sure its working

Hot water temperature sensor might be out of range.

Or plate hex is blocked.

Sorry not my thread but what is a plate hex? Is it the DHW Heat Exchanger? Never to old to learn LOL

hex = heat exchanger.

Plate hex = hot water heat exchanger.

Believe so the OP said heating will be off when hot water is on
