Hi I got a bit keen and have managed to increase the pressure in the central heating cold it sits at about 1.5 hot it goes up to 2 or maybe 2.5.

How do i drop this back to the normal operating conditions (cold 0.5 to 1).

There are 2 taps beneath the boiler (i managed to increase the pressure opening the right hand one a bit - although I closed it straight after i saw the pressure rise!)

Easiest way is to turn it off and just undo a bleed nipple from a rad and let some water out into a basin till correct pressure achieved.
