Potterton performer 24

Hi

Im a gas safe registered heating engineer but only work on warm air so don't have much experience working on combis.

In my house I have a Potterton performer 24 and it is intermittently going on flame failure, i've taken the front cover off and had a look at the diverter valve when I turn the hot tap on the pin comes out for the dhw side and pushes the micro switch but at the same time the pin for the central heating comes out, does this mean that the diverter valve is stuck and passing when the hot water is on and requires a new diverter valve?

Any help would be much appreciated

Nope you are miles away it is usually the APS that is faulty on them

THats why i didnt mention it by name if he was a diyer he would have asked what i meant
