Hi all,

I am a complete novice at all this.

My boiler seems to have gone down. The pilot light is not showing through the screen and hence, no hot water or heating (not good with a very pregnant wife)

With no user manual for this boiler I have no idea how to relight the pilot as there does not seem to be an ignition switch like with normal boilers. I have the service manual and on all the schematics there is no indicator of there being an ignition. Is it possible that this boiler self ignites when it calls for heat? If so any ideas what could be wrong?

I may have disrupted the water supply to it yesterday when changing a tap as I may have shut off the wrong tap on the plumbing, I have no way of finding out as I have no diagrams for this heating system!

Any help would be gratefully received!!

You're right there's no permanent pilot.
Is the fan running?
Try the reset button underneath

Thanks, I thought this was the case. I did nt even have an idea that there was a reset button! The fan is not running as far as I can tell - I cannot hear it, in fact the whole thing seems dead!

Annoyingly I have had to come in to work but I may skip home to try this!

If the reset button underneath is not resetting then check the programmer, thermostats and that the pump is running. If they are OK you may have a failed motor valve.

Your boiler should run the fan first when there is a call for heat. A professional would probably check the connections to the boiler for supply and a call for heat with his testmeter.

Thanks for the help everyone. I know I sounded a dunce, but I skived work, hit the reset and it fired up straight away. I would have been years finding that out any other way so huge thanks!
