I have a suprema HE60 which keeps locking out......red..off..off.....which points to air pressure signal prob.
At vast expense (with a week between each visit) a boiler engineer replaced the PCB, then came back and replaced the heat sensor and air pressure sensor, then came back again and tried another new PCB!! They now say they could put in a new boiler less the price of a PCB.
Two days ago I downloaded the manual, checked the condensation trap was clear, the flue is puffing fine, fan is sweet, so.......I tried running it with the cover off. And all is fine!!!
When I screw the cover on, it will run for 10/15 minutes then cut out to red..off..off again.
Do I that the flue apart and clean it out?

No, you don't take the flue apart, because you aren't qualified to do so and it could well make the problem worse. Taking the cover off is inadvisable too, and it's certainly not safe to run the boiler with the cover off. It sounds like it could well be a flue-related issue though. As for the "vast expense" you've incurred so far, you shouldn't have incurred any expense at all. You employed someone to fix your boiler, your contract with them was to correctly diagnose and fix your boiler, if they haven't fixed it and seem to have run out of ideas then they haven't fulfilled their side of the contract and as such you owe them nothing.

If you're really feeling stuck and don't trust any locals any more, Baxi/Potterton will do you a fixed-price repair, where they keep throwing parts at it until it works. Having said that, post your location and someone on here may be able to help

Many thanks for your advise. Getting money back is probably be easier said than done!

I doubt you'll get it back. Once you've paid you've agreed that you're satisfied with the work undertaken, so you've lost that I'm afraid
