potterton profile prima 40e capacity?

we are looking to replace our potterton profile prima 40e, and are trying to find out what the capacity of this boiler is??
the only problem with it is the casing is starting to rust, and british gas say the casing can't be replaced and so we will have to get a complete new boiler!

I dont understand exactly what you are asking!

Your boiler is about 12 kW but any heating engineer ( BG included ) will know that!

That is a guide but the exact size boiler required needs to be calculated on the whole house basis.

Those boilers are so common that many gas engineers would be able to obtain a s/h cover if its the removable part which has failed.
