My system is about ten years old and I have had a few probs past 6 months, however, what happens now is the pilot light goes out every time the burner is about to ignite. This happens with either CH or DHW, any ideas??

Does it look like the fan is blowing the pilot out? If so it's possibly dirt in pilot dept - get a corgi to service it. If things go further to the clunk when the gas valve should open, it might mean a new GV - more expensive, but only corgi will tell you.

Thats exactly what it looks like... just as the fan goes into fast spin the pilots all over the show then gone.
I'll give it a blow down the end...

gave it a clean and it stays on when burner flames but, hot water is fine but ch not. would an air lock cause it to go out?
