Hi,

Total newby here and am hoping that the more knowledgeable members could offer advice.

I have a Potterton Puma combi boiler in the house. Recently, as soon as central heating is switched on, the pilot light goes off after approx 1 minute. There's no problem with the hot water, only when central heating is turned on.

Called in a plumber who advised us to buy a diverter valve (£79.04+VAT) which he then fitted. Unfortunately, the symptoms are still there. The plumber is not returning my calls so I've written that experience off.

Before I call in another plumber, can anyone offer any pointers / diagnostics that I could try?

Many thanks,

Costas
