Hi all,
I have a potterton puma 80 and the low system pressure light keeps coming on. I have bled radiators and re-pressurised the system to about 1 bar and it stays stable but the light remains on. It did the same thing about a month ago but managed to 'right' itself. I'm not sure how long this took though as had to stay somewhere else!
Does anyone know if they have a habit of doing this and will the light go off eventually as the pressure is correct at around 1 bar?
I'm not sure if there is anything else I can try... i'm not keen on taking the boiler apart.
Is there a way to reset the boiler other than switching off at the mains... and would this do anything?
And one las thing... the water board have been digging up the roads in the area... and I think they were the last time... would this affect the pressure in my heating system? (aware that may sound a silly question!).
I know combis have a habit of doing this but this has happened twice in the space of a couple of months now.

Thanks for any thoughts / comments / advice.

Is that pretty self explanatory kevplumb? On removing the front panel and unscrewing the inside panel... how do i locate the switch?

Drain the boiler, remove and clean LP switch. Importantly, clean the hole on the d/v the stitch screws into.

Should stop it happening for at least 12 months.

Makes me wonder why this boiler incorporated one, especially as its so easily bypassed.

Can it be included in FAQ's.

Easier than re-pressurising a vessel IMO and nearly as common.
