Hi,
I believe I may have had a power during the night, as as result the hot water and heating timer programmer does not work.
The back light is working and the screen is reading 12.00 am (which may be the default time) but none of the buttons are responding.
I have checked the wiring and have also removed the programmer several times but still no joy.
Before I go to the expense of calling an electrician or replacing the programmer has anyone else come across a similiar problem.

Cheers Rob

These are flaky units and can be expected to fail.

There is a way of resetiing them by pressing two buttons, but I doubt this is any different from turning it on/off.

I should get a new one, if you get another Potterton EP series it will simply fit on the same backplate, no electrical skills needed. Would be wise to turn it off though first.
