I have a Potterton Suprima 80 boiler which has starting locking out every two minutes...
The boiler has a new PCB and overheat thermostat fitted (a new second spare pcb has also been swapped in and the same issue remains)
It fires up from the timer on both the CH and DHW timings but after two minutes - down from every four minutes last week, but then pauses as it would when thermostat senses the set temp, after 30 seconds to a minute it whirrs up again but then doesnt ignite and the red light flashes.
It does not respond to the reset button but instead I have to switch off the power to reset.
I may well be wrong but if the boiler is firing up initially that would suggest the gas supply is operating ok?
From what Ive read here I will replace the thermistor and the electrode lead but beyond that can anyone shed any light on what appears to be a very common suprima problem?
Thank you
