Hi All,

I've trawled about looking for similar issues to mine but can't quite seem to find the answer. I suspect the motorised valve due to other posts I have read but would like some other opinions please...

Problem: Noise coming from hot water tank as if it is in operation despite being sitched off on the (honywell timer control) and no pilot on boiler.

Looking at the lights on the boiler, I've seen a lot of combinations! Flashing amber, sold amber and flashing green!! All over the course of a couple of hours.

The water tank seems to behave when the heating is switched on (CH is working fine btw).

Doe anyone have any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a cable going from the wall to the top of the HW cylinder?

If so, this is the electric immersion heater - there in case the boiler goes wrong. It is controlled by a switch nearby.

I do have an emersion switch, tbh, I thought someone had flicked it on but it's off.

The tank is still "running" (making a sound as if it is heating the water) despite being switched off at the timer in the kitchen. Could be this honeywell pressure valve?
