Can I ask, is the Netaheat Profile60e the same boiler as the Profile60e?
Or is the Profile60e an updated, at the time , of the Netaheat but without the dangerous listing as per the FAQ7.
Pete

75pete.take a photo of your boiler and show her here.
or there is more techinical answers but a picture is the best.
edit.
if your boiler has a grey plastic tray at bottom of boiler you can ease down the centre plastic square access hole to the securing screw and hopefully it has a number starting with 41. tell the gas heads that number.
good luck.

Both of those boilers have exactly the same construction, ie a positive pressure combustion chamber and all the safety concerns apply to both models. The GC No can be found by removing the whole bottom controls cover. The number will be 41-605-42 for both models and they are the same boiler.

O/k, I'm sitting here with the grey cover next to me but can't see any numbers on there own. Any part of this inner cover that I should be looking at? By the by, the boiler was put in, in 2003 if that of any help.
Pete.... Just turned the cover over, now looking at the bottom and can see, 9016 Profile 60el then under the bar code. ALVD241 0093

Right, now had a look at the bottom of the control panel and see: 40L 60L.
Very small set of numbers:5105940
Any of this getting close?
Pete

hi,the 41 number is probaly in a dusty area.
But this model of boiler is after reading the installation instructions is a boiler which the fan produces a positive pressure on to the boiler case and seal.
there are many ways to test the soundness of this seal.
i could explain how to do it with with an item you will already have in your house but all the so called experts here will shout me down so i will not do so.
I can only suggest on this forum you get an rgi to inspect your boiler but you could purchase a CO detector and position it close to your boiler.
You have a tough old fashioned boiler which could last for many years.

good luck.

I was looking at the FAQ and saw the list of dangerous boilers. I new we had a Profile60e and that made me ask the question. Mine is not a Netaheat as far as I can see but that's why I'm asking. I would think the bottom line is that the casing seal is in tip, top condition and has no bits missing and sits against the boiler to make the seal.

www.partsarena.com/baxi just download grafix.
click potterton
click boiler
click profile

if it was my boiler i would buy a new case seal before they stop making them.hint.hint.

Thanks again patsmotors.
Will have a look at the site. Any idea of the cost of a seal?
I ask because I'm having trouble loading Potterton.
