I would be tempted to bury a small duct/conduit so that the cable could be pulled through or upgraded later
I buried two armoured cables when I dug a trench and wish that I had used a conduit

That is, indeed, usually the best option - and, although I have not looked back to check, may well have been mentioned by someone earlier in this thread.
