Wondering about a set of battery powered secateurs. Has anyone any experience of them and are they any good?
When cutting back overgrown bushes, hedges etc. (I know we shouldn't let them get overgrown, but ...) a standard manual set of secateurs can be pretty tiring on the hand after a few hours.

Just interested in the opinion of others before I splash out.

On a side note, have you tried the ratchet type of secateurs? they make life a little easier.

As to powered ones, sorry I have no experience.

If you need to be using secateurs for hours to accomplish what needs to be done I'd suggest you are possibly using the wrong tool for the job. A hedge trimmer would be vastly more efficient - with loppers for the really thick stuff.
