    Hi all,

My extension will be getting rendered soon using Baumit silicone render.

On a couple of the walls there are waste pipes from sinks and a soil stack - none of which are connected to anything yet as the internals are still bare.

Thinking ahead to the rendering, what's the best way to deal with the pipes and their holes?

    I'm in two minds:

    1. drill and fit all the pipes first and make the renderers go around them in situ.

    2. leave the walls smooth and core through later with the pipes

What's the better option, 1 gives more work for the renderers whereas 2 risks damaging the render around the holes.

Is there a 'normal/expected' way renderers prefer to work?

Best of both worlds I guess.

How to you avoid filling the holes or partially covering them? Is it just a matter of putting the pipes in as soon as the render is done?
