Preparing wooden subfloor

Hi all,

Preparing bathroom wooden floor boards for porcelain tiles

I’ve removed the old tiles, glue and ditra mat. There’s still an uneven layer of glue on floor boards - some bits have none, others areas have upto 6-7 mm of glue.

So how do I proceed now?

Remove as much of old glue as possible and put new ditra mat?

Or even put highs and lows with tile adhesive and lay down 6mm backer boards?

Or something else?
