I intend to paint my front door and frame which have previously been stained and varnished. What filler should I use to fill the gap between the door frame and the wall? I intend using Dulux exterior gloss. Will I need to sand all the varnish and stain off, and will I need to use primer, or will undercoat be enough? Thanks

Theres a few coloured acrylic sealants on the market..id use them.
As for the door and frame, you will have to give the existing coating a really good rub down then a coat of Zinsseer bin primer, dulux supergrip or melamine primer as paint doesnt take very well to varnish.
