Will it be gas pipe?

If your not sure about pipe work get a professional in. Take no chances and explain to him/her how to orientate the valve.
Only just noticed the OP posted this back in January.
He probably installed the valve upside down also.

May be too late but I would advise that you fit a 22 mm PRV even if the supply pipe is 15 mm.

They have a better pressure loss characteristic and may be quieter in use.

I see second pipe coming from the flor 22mm. Will it be gas pipe?

Fit one of these instead...

Means less modification on the pipe work and you get a "drop tight" valve that won't allow creep.

That even better idea for me.
Just checked my pipe is imprerial one 1/2 inch and outside diameter is around 15.15 mm
Will I be able to fit metric olives to it?
