Everyone knows the schedule for a shower is the same as for a kettle. i.e. PAT test once a year by spark plus CSCS plumber to descale element and decontaminate.
Go to the Screwfix site's forum, and look for "unvented". You'll see a lot of stuff, an awful lot of stuff. There's someone postin there as "Water systems" who is some kind of nutter, but makes a case weekly for almost never using unvented cyls.
These people sell just about everything so at least you know where they're coming from: http://www.heatweb.com/
Strictly speaking, unvented cylinders require servicing once a year. Some types have to have a few minutes attention every many months or they'll dribble water out of a discharge pipe. Most of them never actually get "serviced", though that isn't recommended.
Not quite the same as unvented but about the same in usage, a THERMAL STORE.
Curiously, nutter, Water Systems, probably advocates them!
I have a friend with one in his flat. I had to condem it as leaking from the base last week. He then remembered that out of 22 flats he has already noticed a few of these being thrown out after only 10 years!!!
After a day out plumbing, I had a very enjoyable time at the theatre press night with one of the best evenings entertainment ever called "Fabulation" with Carmen Monroe and others. Only downside, at the curry supper afterwards the wine budget seemed to have been halved ! See what the papers say about it. Even the writer was very pleased with the production!
A few plays ago, when I asked the writer about an unclear aspect she rushed off to rewrite a few lines.
I did a boiler repair a few months ago for the writer of a play which had been serialised on BBC R4 during the previous week. She was amused that I was able to comment in detail on her play and later sent me a copy on CD !!! Even more amused when I called her on the way back to ask how long she had been a Libra!
