Thanks for clearing that point up - at least I now know that chasing around merchants, both locally and online is not going to get me any further forward.

Now to see if I can sneak a decent plumber into the building. The Trust that owns the property prefers us to use their own tradesmen and whilst it was not the current ones that created this mess, they have contributed to a few clangers of their own.
