Presure release valve leaking - any other problems likely.

Hi,

The pressure release valve on my vokera Flowmatic 20 80 RS is leaking, dripping from the overflow and continual loss of pressure.

I have ordered a replacement but thought I would post to see if any other problems may; a. been caused by this problem or b. have caused this problem and still need fixing.

Also if there are any tricks or tips to removing and replacing this part I'd be grateful.

So any ideas gratefully received.

Very straightforward to replace prv providing access is ok.While the boiler is drained check the expansion vessel is precharged.Access on top of boiler at the back and look for the schraeder valve.(same as your car tyre)If its empty pump it up(approx 12psi)If its got water in it then the vessel needs replacement.Make sure the fill loop is turned off correctly.
