however before you get those three quotes make some descisions on what you wan't. otherwise you will be comparing prices for 3 electricians ideas of what wiring is needed not for the work you actually wan't e.g.

how many sockets do you want and where?

how do you wan't it wired? surface clipped (cheapest but looks ****) surface trunking (slightly better looking that surface clipped but still ugly) burried direct in plaster (cheapest concealed option)? conduit burried in plaster (allows the wires to be replaced later while leaving the conduits in place)?.

if burying the wiring are you prepared to do the chasing and/or the making good afterwards yourself rather than getting the electrician to do it?

do you keep stuff of value in your fridge/freezer when you go away on holiday? (if so i strongly reccomend specifying a seperate non-rcd circuit for them)

do you wan't a dedicated non-rcd circuit for computer equipment to avoid it getting cut off if the RCD trips (not so important if you have a UPS and are arround to deal with it but could still be annoying if you have a PC that you rely on remote access to if you are away)?

do you wan't a split load board (likely if you don't spec anything else)? or would you preffer RCBOs on circuits that need rcd protection (more expensive but if one trips it takes out less)?

do you have any other similar special requirements that you would like covering?

once you can answer theese questions you should be able to write up a reasonable spec for the work you wan't that you can ask all the electricans to quote for.
