I'm going to need some tube (to support polyester stage backdrop) and plan to use 20mm steel conduit, surprised now £11 (£8.80 with my discount) at SF (most convenient for me these days), I see £8 at TLC. How does that compare with what others are getting at other wholesalers?

Screwfix is a joke shop - not a wholesaler. Never buy conduit there. It won't even be the correct length (3.75m).

Cor blimey I haven't seen 3,75 for many years now from any of my regulars: CEF, TLC, Edwardes Bros & Neweys. I agree about SF but there are 3 of them (and 2 TS) closer than any proper supplier, I was finding their prices to be 'not bad' after my discount but the last I purchased oct 22 were £35.93 for 10.

Unless you need to use conduit fittings on it have you considered looking at steel stockholders for just generic mild steel tubing of a suitable size to support the backdrop?

Yes it was my first search, the majority of hits were for conduit which seem to be the cheaper option.
