I have had new bay windows made to replace UPVC in double-glazed softwood and paid extra to have them primed and undercoated before being fitted. But they appear to have received only one coat which I was told is \\\'primer undercoat\\\'. Is that really sufficient? Chris

Yes, you can get products that act as a primer/undercoat in one. So what they have done is fine. If you do want to paint it, there should be no problems.
