prob with hyundai

can anyone shed any light on this problem please, got a y reg hyundai coupe for the past few weeks its been under reving as if there is no power to it and then it will over rv as though theres to much power to it its going in the garage tommorow for the 3rd time at first they cleaned the throttle and a valve that didnt work then they said there was a loose wire on the throttle that hasnt worked so now they saying it could be a valve that wants replacing io valve or something like that does anyone know about these cars and possible symton answers much appreciated thanks

Obvious things to change are air and fuel filter.
Air flow meter would be next, maybe lambda probe too.

Really need to get it plugged in to retrieve any fault codes it may have stored or you'll be trying different things forever trying to sort it

thanks for reply been plugged into machine and nothing ccame up they have checked that lamba thing and said it were ok

its as though not enough fuel is getting through wen it under revs and then to much is getting through when it over revs it over revs up to 3000and sticks for a bit then drops back down
