My Whirpool washing machine is not starting. The door locking red light isn't coming on, so i think that the washing machine is thinking the door isn't locked and is not starting. Anyone had a similar problem? I don't want to call someone out if it's something i could fix myself.

Could be the door interlock playing up. You could try shutting the door again a couple of times.
Sometimes it will be the door handle/catch though.
Changing the interlock isn't too much of a problem but might be better getting someone in who can accurately diagnose the fault, before you start spending money.

hi,could u plz let me know if u sorted ur problem with ur door light not coming on cos i have the same problem with mine and i have changed the door interlock but still doesnt work ????? thanks
