Hope someone can shed some light on the fault here.

Just tried to start my car. Put the key in the ignition and turned on and the hazard lights started to flash? Thought thats odd and turned them off. Went to start the engine and although the starter motor turned over the engine would not fire.

Tried the whole process once again.... and again the the hazards flashed and the engine would not start. The car has an alarm/immobiliser and have locked the car and unlocked to rule this out?

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help/advise

Cheers

Further to the non starting car.......

Flicked through the manual and discovered that the car has a fuel cut off switch which is activated when bumped. I thought well that worth a try...... opened the bonnet, found the button and...... click. Tried the engine and fired first time.

Has my neighbour bumped me, while parking? (no damage noted) What amount of impact would normally trigger these?

Any thoughts
