2 issues I dont know if they're related or not, can someone please advise on possible cause and wether I could sort it myself or will I need someone in?

1) Hot water pressure is unbeleivably slow coming out of the tap.... although the cold water is absolutely fine. Water pressure at boiler is sitting at 1.5 bar

2) Hot water decides to not heat up for some random intermittent reason. Happened last year at this time in the very hot weather, then was fine for a year until a few days ago, its happening again. It may not work for a few hours or days at a time, then randomly starts working again. When switching the water on, I hear all the right noises from the boiler, a click and a whir, but water remains cold regardless of how long I wait or where in the house I try.

Any help is massively appreciated guys! (I was recommended this site from a car forum I use!)

when was it last serviced? these boilers always respond well to a proper service.

most likely cause of the hot water issue is a worn diaphragm.

you will need to measure the flow rate from the hot tap so we could tell you if its right or not.

Snap Nicso.

Get the boiler serviced. Mostly this boiler acts up when service long overdue. If the boiler was serviced with taking the cover off, then it was not serviced.

well, to be honest, I'm only trusting the last homeowners when I say it was serviced a year past april (we bought this place last june)

I will look into a service soon then.

As far as measuring the flow of the hot water.... I wouldnt know how... I really dont know anything about this sort of stuff..... but was hoping it was going to be a definitive answer then at least I could buy the part and get someone with a ltitle more knowhow, or if it was easy, just do it myself with some guidance (thats if it was going to be easy)

However, the hot water is really slow.... not a trickle but definitely takes a minute to fill the sink.

Do you think both problems are related to the same thing? I have heard in different places it could either be the diaphragm or the diverter valve

Thanks again for all your help guys.

Better to get someone in to do the repair. You could supply the part but if it is incorrect, you will then have to fork out for the callout.

If the engineer is doing the work, he will look at the boiler as a unit rather then a component within the boiler to get it operational. As an example, I carry most common parts for this boiler so would focus on the defect as well as carry out preventivie repairs at the same time. Any unions that are dismantled are cleaned and fitted with new seals.

Faulty disphragm would not effect water delivery at the tap.

Diveretr fault can account for boiler not firing for HW demand.
