First time post and looking for some help.

Have moved into a house with Vokera 20 - 80 R.S boiler and having problems with the central heating.

The hot water in the house works no problem, but heating will not kick in when timed to come on.

The boiler appears to kick in but no hot water flows to the radiators - could this be the pump?

Looking for advice on problem as have been advised that would be better to replace the entire bolier!!

The diverter valve may be stuck or there may be a control problem.

These boilers are quite old but solidly built.

Unfortunately many have been ignored and need considerable renovation to bring them back to an as new standard.

Its most of a days work to renovate them but if thats done you have a boiler which should last another 10 years.

However, few engineers have the expertise or patience to do that and will advise a new condensing boiler which is a much more profitable job.

Of course if you live near Glasgow then DP loves giving them care and attention and stocks all the little parts needed. Few others will though!

i disagree, bet all it needs is a service and perhaps some attention to the diverter.
